Профессиональные стратегии преподавателей российских вузов: запрос на индивидуализацию
The authors analyses the peculiarities of the university teachers’ professional strategies in Russia. The article covers three components of professional strategy: academic mobility potential, the ratio of methodological / teaching, scientific and administrative work and self-identity of the academic staff as a teachers or researchers. It was proved that Russian teachers and researchers are oriented to work in their university and region. Career growth (promotion / administrative position) and salary increase are the most important motives for moving to work at a higher education institution. Russian teachers are not satisfied with the types of work combination. There is a demand for more research work in certain types of HEIs. The necessity of considering individual requests of teaching staff for new competences and tracks of professional development on the part of HEIs' management was noted. The necessity to identify tracks corresponding to the main types of activity - science, teaching and practical / administrative activity - is discussed. The conclusions are drawn about how to build an effective system of support for the development of teaching staff and the implementation of such a system at the different Russian Universities.
