The text of the First edition of the Christian Catechism is published according to the book published by the Synodal Printing House of St. Petersburg in 1823. The apparatus contains Variant Readings of the Editions of 1827 and 1839, in which two revised versions of the Catechism were created one after another in the context of the changing church and secular political situation in the 1820s — 1830s. The Supplements complement the apparatus. The preface contains information about the specificity of the distinctive features of the First edition and the principles of publication.
