This study is devoted to the analysis and comparison of higher education in Germany, France and Singapore. The authors highlight the similarities and differences of higher education systems in some countries of the European and Asia-Pacific regions. Its structure is considered, taking into account the characteristics of each state, the place of these countries in the world's leading rankings in terms of education (the United Nations Development Program's Education Level Index 2022 and the Human Development Index 2021-2022). A comparative analysis of the terms of study, the principles of building a higher education system was carried out, and as a criterion of this method, the participation of employers (organizations and enterprises) and the state in the process and the tasks of employing graduates was studied. The role of the relative independence of educational institutions in solving the issues of admission of applicants is revealed.
