The review is devoted to a highly relevant problem – the impact of polluted air on the respiratory health of the child population. The main pollutants (pollutants) of the air in both urban and rural areas, the depth of their penetration into the respiratory tract are analyzed in detail; evidence is given of an increased risk of respiratory infections and exacerbations of bronchial asthma in children living in large cities.
