HSE Scientists Train Neural Network to 'Hear' Faults in Electric Motors
Researchers at the AI and Digital Science Institute of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science have developed a new method—the Signature-Guided Data Augmentation (SGDA) framework—that achieves 99% accuracy in motor fault detection and 86% accuracy in fault classification. The application of this approach can reduce industrial equipment repair costs, minimise downtime, and improve production safety. Эмоциональный поворот в журналистике XXI в.

С. 48–60.
Novikova A.

For years, journalism students have been told that journalism is fact-based, that it is all about objectivity and dispassion, rational reporting, and logic in describing cause-and-effect relationships. But emotions should be left to art or, in extreme cases, journalism, which can afford subjectivity. At the same time, the world around journalism was increasingly focused not on rational knowledge transmitted by science, but on the affectivity of art and the psychotherapeutic interpretation of a person’s emotional life. These processes in the second half of the twentieth century. were so strong that they could not help but affect journalism as an important cultural institution. The chapter examines how the emotional turn in Russian media took place in the 1990s and identifies key trends for 2010-2020.
