Ресурсный потенциал гастрономического туризма Санкт-Петербурга и Ленинградской области с учетом природных, этнических, исторических, промышленных, событийных предпосылок
The COVID-19 pandemic, as well as anti-Russian sanctions imposed by a number of governments, lead to an increased demand for domestic tourist destinations. The unpreparedness of the Russian regions to accept sophisticated domestic tourists and the underdevelopment of the Russian market of tourist services determine the relevance of comprehensive assessment of the Russian regions’ resource potential to diversify their tourist offer. This paper solves the problem of determining the place of gastronomic (food) tourism in the system of tourist services in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region through a comprehensive assessment of the resource potential of the regions. The author used statistical analysis and other general scientific methods to characterize tourist infrastructure on the example of collective accommodation facilities, natural, climatic, historical, cultural, ethnic, industrial and event prerequisites for the development of gastronomic tourism in the Russian regions. The results of the study may be useful for the Committee for Culture and Tourism of the Leningrad Region for the food tourism development and popularization and the formation food tourist product, as well as for the heads of enterprises that are potential objects of gastronomic tourism.
