The 'Second Shift' Is Not Why Women Avoid News
Women are more likely than men to avoid political and economic news, but the reasons for this behaviour are linked less to structural inequality or family-related stress than to personal attitudes and the emotional perception of news content. This conclusion was reached by HSE researchers after analysing data from a large-scale survey of more than 10,000 residents across 61 regions of Russia. The study findings have been published in Woman in Russian Society.

Architecture for Ubiquitous Agents for Digital Ecosystem

P. 293–302.
Suleykin, A., Panfilov P.

In this paper, we present the high-level architecture of an integrated resource management system for the digital ecosystem of a modern enterprise. The proposed system configuration implements the CONSORTS concept – a new kind of architecture for ubiquitous intelligent agents that provide services for modeling and forecasting the dynamics of changes in the resources of a modern enterprise. The other part of the digital ecosystem is made up of auxiliary agents for data processing, their integration and merging, normalization and filtering, converting data to a single model. We illustrate an idea of CONSORTS-based resource management system using the example of digital ecosystem of the real production enterprise. Considerations of special issues of stability design of an integrated control system in digital ecosystem accompany and complement the design issues of the semantic grounding and cognitive resources of the CONSORTS-based architectural style.

Hit identification is a central challenge in early drug discovery, traditionally requiring substantial experimental resources. Recent advances in artificial intelligence, particularly large language models (LLMs), have enabled virtual screening methods that reduce costs and improve efficiency. However, the growing complexity of these tools has limited their accessibility to wet-lab researchers. Multi-agent systems offer a promising ...

POWER DEGREES IN DYNAMIC MULTI-AGENT SYSTEMS
Petrosyan L., Yeung D., Pankratova Y., Proceedings of the Steklov Institute of Mathematics 2023 Vol. 29 No. 3 P. 128–137
Dynamic multi-agent systems connected in network are considered. To define the power of each agent the analogue of characteristic function is introduced. The values of this characteristic function for each coalition (subset of agents) are calculated as joint payoff of players from this coalition plus payoffs (multiplied on some discount factor) of players which do not belong to ...
