Ричард Кантильон. Опыт о природе коммерции: общие вопросы
Richard Cantillon is the most mysterious figure in the history of economic thought, while his Essay on the Nature of Commerce in general - is the book, without which economic science would have been quite different. Ideas of this book provided foundations for the Tableau Economic of the Physiocrats, to a large extent anticipated Malthus' population theory, classical theories of value and money, theories of entrepreneurship and of spatial economics.
This book is the first full Russian translation of the Essay. It is based on the first French edition from 1755, and first English translation by Henry Higgs of 1931, as well as on recent Cantillon scholarship implemented in the new translations of the Essay issued in 2015 by Antoin Murphy and by Richard van den Berg. Along with the text of Cantillon's Essay this volume contains Jevons' paper from 1881, and Eidelnant's paper from 1927, an introductory biographical sketch of Cantillon and an accompanying article on Cantillon's place in the history of economic thought.
