This book serves two purposes. At one hand, it provides an easy-to-follow guide on the critical technologies comprising 5G/6G cellular systems, while, on the other hand, it presents detailed methods for performance evaluation and optimization of user- and system-centric metrics of interest for an extensive set of 5G/6G services, deployment scenarios, and use-cases. Specifically, we consider architectural aspects of 5G/6G systems, their future applications and services, and then proceed illustrating models, characteristics, methods for analyzing the efficiency of radio channels and service performance in these systems.
This book can be utilized by undergraduate and graduate students as well as professionals in the field of performance evaluation and optimization of wireless networking technologies.
