The national security strategy of the United States proceeds from the fact that the United States is currently facing "authoritarian" and "revisionist" powers in the international arena, among which China and Russia are considered the most dangerous in Washington. Accordingly, the American military strategy considers the PRC and the Russian Federation as the countries from which the main military threat to America emanates. Washington soberly assesses the current military-strategic balance in the world, realizing that the United States can resist Moscow and Beijing at the same time only by relying on a system of alliances and partnerships. The American political class is finally forced to admit that the United States has lost its absolute superiority, including in the military sphere. The attempts of the current American administration to carry out double deterrence – both of Russia and China – have so far not achieved much success.
