Методическое пособие по работе волонтёров
The methodology was created as part of Service Learning, a joint initiative of the National Research University Higher School of Economics and the Agency for Social Investments and Innovations. This year the project was supported by the Presidential Grants Foundation. The Service Learning initiative is aimed at the development of intellectual volunteering among students: involvement in volunteering as part of the courses of their educational programs and project activities. The methodology should help students to choose a volunteering direction that suits them, as well as to learn the guidelines needed before starting their work. This methodology is not limited to identifying the needs of society, as it is primarily aimed at involving young people in supporting society and its individual representatives. This is how the role of volunteering in each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals is revealed. The concept of "effective volunteering" and "volunteer ethics" is explained. The guide reveals the peculiarities of interaction with orphans, the disabled, the elderly and the sick. At the end, the reader is provided with cases of "Service Learning" from EOSLHE on the example of organizing a university congress and fieldwork conducted by the University of Vic in Spain. This methodology is based on students' responsibility to contribute to the common good and development of society. To this end, it was created and written with and for students. The methodology can be used by novice volunteers not only from NRU HSE, but also from other universities.
