Introduction. There is a growing body of scientific evidence that supports positive effects of meditation on physical and mental health. Despite these findings, more research is needed to fully understand the psychophysiological changes that occur during meditation and after practice. Purpose. To evaluate changes in psycho-emotional state and physiological parameters after 8 weeks of Taoist meditation practice. Materials and methods. The study consisted of two groups: an experimental group comprising 12 individuals, aged between 20 and 37 years (28.08±5.45, 3 men and 9 women), and a control group comprising 13 individuals, aged between 21 and 38 years (27.69±5.68, 4 men and 9 women), 25 people in total.
