The article takes up the rhythm of the new peasant poets S . Yesenin and N. Klyuev on the material of the iambic tetrameter. The task of conducting a comparative analysis of the rhythmics of the iambic tetrameter, as well as comparing the rhythmic pattern and identifying the closest configurations in representatives of other directions, is realized. Based on a comparison of the rhythmic pattern and the main configurations of the rhythmic forms of the iambic tetrameter, the degree of Klyuev's influence on Yesenin is determined, and the main regularities and features of the evolution of the rhythmics of the new peasant poets are identified. The research was carried out using quantitative methods on the material of the collection of works by N. Klyuev " Pesnoslov" and the complete collection of works by S. Yesenin, edited by Y. L. Prokushev, using digital methods of verse analysis based on the platform "Prosimetron". The work reveals the relationship of the rhythmics of the poetry of early Yesenin 1910-1914 with the literary tradition of the Golden Age (the poetry of Alexander Pushkin). Based on the statistical analysis, the influence of the poetry of Blok and Kliuyev on the rhythmics of Yesenin's verse is confirmed and the origins of the rhythmics of Kliuyev's poetry are identified.
