The article contains recommendations on the organization of monitoring of road traffic, depending on the goals and objectives formulated in the documentation on the ODD. The methods of traffic monitoring are compared with the parameters characterizing traffic and the effectiveness of its organization. It is noted that traffic modeling is a universal way of determining the traditionally registered parameters and calculated values (the average delay of vehicles, the level of traffic service, the indicator of road congestion). The given classification features, ranges and corresponding values of service level indicators are proposed for use in planning, documentation development, organization and traffic survey, modeling, implementation and quality assessment of traffic management activities.
