Проявления благодарности во время эпидемии COVID-19
The research examined the expression and direction of gratitude during the COVID-19 pandemic compared to the times before the pandemic. For this aim we applied the GRAT form, GQ-6, followed with an open question «What are you most grateful for at the moment?». The answers to the open question were collected during the pandemic only. The sample sizes for each questionnaire varied between the stable period and the pandemic. The study found that overall, respondents were less grateful during the pandemic compared to the stable period, but there were no significant differences in all subscales of the GRAT form. Based on the open question answers respondents most often, despite all the attendant hardships, expressed gratitude for the new opportunities that arose due to the pandemic, but were least likely to express gratitude towards themselves. The study also showed significant differences in the expression of gratitude depending on age. It is concluded that people can feel gratitude during difficult period but the expression of gratitude is lower compared to stable periods. Based on our results promotion of gratitude practices as one of the personal resources is important.
