The article is given up to philological issues of text type defining in circumstances of contemporary philosophic communication. The literature analysis achieves the absence of common opinion in contemporary philology about text type category. The issues of text types and creating of text types defining methodology is put to the context of communication processes. The work of P.D. Ouspensky "The fourth way" who was esotericist and philosopher is taken up as a pattern of complicated institutional origin text. The analysis of the text allows us to show its vast philosophic potential that was obscured by the interpretation of it as esotericism.
