The article discusses the possibilities of cognitive simulation of labor market problems, the standard of living of young people, the impact of state youth policy on the quality of life. An example of cognitive modeling on a two-level model of the object «Youth, labor market, quality of life» is given, which is a new element in the study of the problems of such a socio-economic system. The corresponding cognitive models, the results of the analysis of their properties and the results of scenario modeling of the development of situations in the system with possible changes in the internal and external environment are proposed. The results of such studies can be useful in the development and implementation of a sound state youth policy.
