Методологические аспекты статистического анализа в офтальмологии
With the help of statistics, it is possible to assess the prevalence of diseases, group differences among patients, relationships of the obtained research results, comparison of the effectiveness of various types of treatment, hypothesis testing and modeling of dependencies between variables. In medical universities, preference is given to specialized disciplines. At the same time, a qualified specialist in the field of medicine should have the skills of statistical data analysis. In this paper, the authors consider the main methodological aspects of the application of statistical methods in ophthalmology. The authors present an algorithm for selecting and reviewing statistical analysis methods using data in the field of ophthalmology. To date, a great advantage for a doctor will be the ability to choose and apply statistical methods. The purpose of the work is to systematize and demonstrate statistical analysis methods to help an ophthalmologist conduct an independent study. Results. The review of indicators of descriptive statistics and methods of in-depth statistical analysis used in ophthalmological research is made, examples of scientific works using these methods are given. Conclusion. Further independent detailed study of the tools under consideration is possible with the help of the given links to open access sources, where they are described and applied in more detail.
