Experimental Analysis of the Electrodynamic Characteristics of the Coaxial-Radial Line Type Slow-Wave Structures and Its Modifications
P. 1–4.
In this paper, we experimentally analyze the electrodynamic characteristics of a slow-wave structure (SWS) of the coaxial-radial line (CRL) type. Such SWSs are widely used in high-power traveling-wave tubes (TWTs) provide high output powers due to good heat removal, but have the limited amplified frequency band. For analysis, the resonance method and the electron probe method are used. Based on the results of the study, the possibility of using SRL to build a multibeam broadband TWT is evaluated. The assumption that the dispersion characteristic of the zero harmonic of the fundamental passband of the CRL is practically parallel to the wavelength axis in a wide range was experimentally confirmed.

It is generally recognised that communication is one of the most important areas of technology. Moreover, the study and improvement of amplification devices operating in little-studied frequency ranges is an essential part of the modern communication development. This work is aimed at investigating the electrodynamic properties of modified designs of helix slow-wave systems, used in ...

This paper presents an analysis of a single planar resonant slot patch antenna model for the LowBand range (3348.5 MHz). The results of computer simulations of its electrodynamic characteristics were obtained, including radiation patterns, complex reflection coefficient (S11), and voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) as functions of frequency. The influence of dimensional variations of such ...

This paper presents the results of modeling a passive RFID tag MG6 in the range of 860-960 MHz with a known topology, focused on identification applications of tagged objects. The tag is located on a flexible substrate, which entails changes in the electrodynamic characteristics during flexible deformations. The most typical forms of flexible deformations during ...

Simulation of RFID tag AZ-9654 with known topology was carried out. To study the electrodynamic parameters, several states of the tag were simulated: basic, as well as with flexible bends (on cylindrical and rectangular
surfaces).
The results of the study show changes in the electrodynamic characteristics (radiation pattern, S11 parameter, VSWR) with flexible deformations of the relative ...

This paper discusses the modeling of the process of interaction in traveling-wave tubes (TWTs) based on 'coaxial-radial line'-type (CRL-type) slow-wave structures (SWSs). One of the most important tasks while designing TWTs is to achieve high output power over wide range of frequencies. The aim of this paper is to try to solve this problem by ...

In this paper, we study the effect of the bending effect on the electrodynamic characteristics of the RFID tag. The simulation of RFID tags with a more complex topology was carried out. An antenna based on a circular meander line was taken as the basis of the tag and its reduced model was presented. The ...

In this paper the slow-wave structures and their models, which are used for development of the millimeter range devices, are considered. The travelling-wave tubes (TWTs) of the millimeter range use rectangular and axially-symmetric resonator slow-wave structures. Analysis of these slow-wave structures was performed using HFSS program for 3D-modeling [1]. Dispersion characteristics were calculated by program ...
