The article deals with the research of color names of anthropocentric sphere in poetic works of German poets. It represents principal trends of using color names which describe a person, in primary and secondary nomination. Figurative-expressive linguistic means (metaphor, allegory, simile, synesthesia, personification, antithesis) are of primary importance when creating various images.
