The abolition of the Soviet Union, proclaimed in December 1991 in Belovezhskaya Pushcha by the leaders of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, was considered a prosperous (since it was peaceful and not bloody) ending not only the history of a single state in the vast expanses of Eurasia, but also the bipolar international system. In 1992, the prevailing opinion was that the metaphor of the "end of history" was realized, and then, as its author Francis Fukuyama feared, it would be very boring.
