This paper presents a comparative analysis of the development of the cluster accelerator effect in the woodworking sector in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Using the rating method in the study, the groups of regions were identified and described by the parameter of the level of development of the system of cluster accelerators. For each group, a set of recommendations has been formed, the implementation of which will significantly reduce the risk of negative effects of clustering for organizations that are part of the considered territorial and economic systems.
