The collection of articles was formed as a result of a series of seminars devoted to the philosophical problems of modern natural science. To a certain extent, these seminars restore the traditions of the seminars of the 1970s and 1980s, during which scientists and philosophers discussed acute methodological problems of scientific work. In order to realize the fundamental problems of the modern scientific worldview, philosophers of science must take a step towards scientists today, which is what the authors of the collection tried to do. They focus on actual problems that concern modern scientists: the reproducibility of experimental knowledge, the collective subject in scientific activity, the ecological foundation of natural science knowledge, as well as the problems of "human dimension" and "cultural universals". Specialists in high-energy physics, biologists, psychologists, sociologists, historians, political scientists from various Russian and foreign universities and academic institutions express their opinions in the appendix - a questionnaire on topical aspects of the development of science. The book is intended not only for professional philosophers specialists in the field of philosophy of science but also for a wide range of readers interested in the problems of Russian and world intellectual culture.
