The article discusses research on the evaluation and measurement of the values of civil servants in Russia and abroad, as well as the author's study of the value orientations of civil servants in this country. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the appropriation of values inherent in the corporate culture of civil servants depends on the experience of participation in public administration. The level of the position acts not only as a reflection of the experience of management in the civil service, but also as an indicator of the acceptance of the existing corporate culture, agreement with it, compliance with its requirements. As the main result, it can be highlighted that with the level of the post, the probability of demonstration by civil servants of the values associated with the adoption of existing norms, orientation towards stability, increases. The most pronounced factor for all levels of positions studied is the factor of social orientation, which confirms the importance of the ethical component in the behavior of a civil servant.
