Постмодерн как (не) время для утопии

The author problematizes the relationship between utopia and the time regime of postmodernity by testing three arguments about postmodernity as an emancipatory attitude: the argument about pluralism, the argument about the end of metanarratives, and the argument about the role of irony. In conclusion, it is noted that postmodern criticism of the utilitarian sacrifice of utopia carries an important critical charge, but can be articulated within the time regime of modernity.
