Взаимодействие поколений в современной России: эволюция сближения
The article analyzes the evolution of Russians’ views about the possibility of mutual understanding and cooperation between young people and the older generations, as well as the factors influencing their formation. The empirical base of the study consists of data from the “Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey – Higher School of Economics” (RLMS-HSE). It is shown that throughout the entire post-Soviet period, the perceptions of Russians regarding the possibility of interaction between generations were characterized by a predominance of a positive spectrum and high stability. Young people are more inclined towards dialogue and cooperation between generations than older people. Such indicators characterizing social well-being as a person’s satisfaction with his/her life, a feeling of happiness, a tendency to trust other people, and the absence or weakening of the experience of loneliness increase confidence in the attainability of intergenerational interaction. A direct connection was ascertained between intergenerational tolerance and the family ties, as well as the tightness and degree of their intensity measured by the frequency of communication, the reliability of the provision of family assistance. The impact of the development of digital technologies on intergenerational relationships is limited.
