The article describes urgent problems associated with changes in human life under the influence of scientific and technological progress that require extensive research by anthropology and other social sciences. The problem of the deficit of social and humanitarian research of technologies, the results of which can be claimed in the field of standard-setting for solutions related to innovation, breakthrough technologies, and unlocking the potential of the digital economy, is identified. The authors make an attempt to characterize cyberantropology as a discipline representing anthropological studies of the digital space and the world of technology, as well as thesis to identify its problem field.
