‘Science Is Universal-It Knows No Borders
Fuad Aleskerov, Tenured Professor and Director of the International Centre of Decision Choice and Analysis at HSE University, together with his colleagues, has developed methods of network analysis in bibliometrics that have made it possible to identify patterns in the appearance and citation of publications in academic journals, as well as their influence on each other. When one or a number of studies are frequently cited by a wide range of journals, this is an indicator that the research is of high quality. By contrast, extensive cross-citation within a limited group of journals increases the likelihood of identifying a network of predatory publications.

Chernavin G., Horizon, Fenomenologiceskie Issledovania 2024 Vol. 13 No. 1 P. 610–625
The article examines Husserl’s conception of Buddhism, which was largely determined by the reading of the “Majjhima-nikaya” in Karl Eugen Neumann’s translation. It is a general and dotted image in which no distinctions were made regarding the eras, traditions and schools of Buddhist philosophy: an image that an interested European reader might form after reading the 152 sutras ...

Seyler F., Brick of Knowledge 2020
Michel Henry (1922–2002) developed a radically revised approach to phenomenology through a critical reading of the phenomenological tradition (especially of Husserl and Heidegger). Henry named his approach “phenomenology of life” and, before that, “material phenomenology” or “radical phenomenology”. He was, in part, influenced by the work of Maine de Biran. Perhaps the most characteristic, as ...

Der dogmatische Schlummer nach Fink
Chernavin G., Phänomenologische Forschungen 2022 Vol. 2 P. 29–36
This article deals with the metaphor of dogmatic slumber in Finkian phenomenology. The Husserlian thought experiment with two worlds for one subject functions here as a starting point which helps to thematize the somnambulistic certitude of the taken-for-granted. It leads to conclusion about the pedagogical task of the philosopher: to constantly wake up himself and ...

The article builds on Husserl's “trivial” observations from the manuscript “Reason – Science. Reason and Morality – Reason and Metaphysics” on the topic of conscience, to then question the neglect of the topic of misguided conscience or self-deception in Heidegger's model of conscience from §§54-60 of Being and Time. Le collectif ici présenté s'est arrêté sur ce titre : « Descartes et la phénoménologie ». Ryabushkina T., Антиномии 2021 Т. 21 № 4 С. 31–60
The article is aimed at revealing the key features of epistemological paradigms, which change each other in the process of development of Western European thinking. The need for such a study is due to the fact that the distinction ‘classic – non-classic’, which is accepted in Russian philosophical literature, has a formal character. The non-classical ...

Why the World is One
Haas A., Cosmos and History: Journal of Natural and Social Philosophy 2020 Vol. 16 No. 1 P. 218–247
The understanding of the unity of the world-in the human and natural sciences, and the arts-has remained steadfast from ancient metaphysics to contemporary phenomenology: the world is one accidentally and necessarily, as true and false, potentially and actually, and categorically. But these four ways of being one can be traced back to how unity is ...
