The article examines the text of the LegendofKorsun referred toin the Novgorod First Chronicle and the Lauren-tian Chronicle under 988, focusing on the position of the enclitic sja. Based on the different uses of the enclitic sja, a hypothesis is put forward about the heterogeneous origin of various parts of the legend.
