The article deals with the concept of personal competence of ATS employees and reveals its structure. The article describes the process of formation of competent specialists in the framework of professional education, inextricably linked with the age characteristics of students, which must be taken into account when designing a practice-oriented educational environment. The conditions of effective professional training of future specialists through the prism of the implementation of a comprehensive program of support of professional development of employees of internal Affairs are considered.
