«Крылатое» и «окаменелое»: идиоматика дискурса
Phrase (quotation, idiom) as something short and therefore easily and successfully conveyed (translated), as time goes on, obtains different features and characteristics, which can be approximately situated on a scales like “worldwide” vs. “local”; “rare” vs. “tired” etc. The idiomatic corpora is huge, and the floating status of so called “winged” of each idiom/phrase causes many questions due to the during and current ageing and “updating” of apperceptional database. Taking into account the mostly artificial “East/West” dichotomy, we see that phrase behaves differently in terms “written/oral” according to its area of distribution. All the way the “winged” metaphor quarrels with “fossil” metaphor, causing our concern and questioning, which is supported a lot by the last lecture course of Roland Barthes called “La préparation du roman” (1978–80). It contains important statements about the phrase phenomenon and such its quality as short form. These statements are discussed as a draft for an exploration programme.
