Based on an analysis of the current legislation, the prevailing practice of its application and recent scientific developments, the article provides commentary on the articles of Chapter 22 “Crimes in the Sphere of Economic Activity” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In preparing this scien- tific and practical commentary, the legal positions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, the interconnections and specifics of criminal law and criminal procedure regulation were taken into account, the practice-forming decisions of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation on the application of the criminal law, other materials of published judicial practice were used.
