The article summarizes three years of experience in organizing educational and developmental programs for children and adolescents in the field of urban environment research and tactical urbanism. The authors described the methods of urban research that can be used in institutional (summer children's recreation programs, development programs in the city park) and non-institutional (city festivals) educational practices, classified them and presented the relationship of these methods with how to explore the educational potential of the urban environment
