Various approaches to optimizing the organizational structure of the enterprise are considered and the relevance of this task in terms of protection from insider activity is justified. An algorithm for determining the place of the anti-insider activity division in the organizational structure of the enterprise is proposed. A pragmatic approach to assessing the need and cost of implementing tools to counter insider activity is shown. The condition of economic expediency of introduction of means of counteraction to insider activity is given, and also approaches to an assessment of insider information are offered and the main conclusions are formulated. The article is analytical in nature and can be useful for managers of information security services, teachers, graduate students and University students.
