The article is devoted to the comparison of Mayakovsky’s “adult” texts with the poems written for children. Analyzing three of them – A fairy tale about a Pether, a fat child, and about Sima, who is thin (1925), This is a little book about the sea and about the lighthouse (1926) and Horse-fire (1927) – we are able to say that the content of the Mayakovsky’s “children” texts (being more simple and less complicated figurative) is subject to the logic of the development of the mythological principles that are fundamental for the entire work of the poet: the image of the faces of the characters, the image of the collective body, the image of “fat” as characteristics of the antagonist, “fatty persons”, opposition to the motives of “voice” and “fat”. A such a comparison makes it possible to gain another point of view on deceptively simple images and plot poems for children; mark the specifics of the transition of poetic constants from the text of one status to another with absolute preservation of the most important structural principles.
