О чувстве уважения в русском языковом сознании: уважения достойно…
The article explores the ways of displaying uvazheniye ‘respect’ in the Russian language consciousness. The National Russian Corpus is more appropriate for this purpose, because a conceptual configuration of an analyzed concept is not present in a “finished” form in any single utterance, but may be reconstructed on the totality of all possible utterances. According to available data, uvazheniye ‘respect’ may be merited or unmerited by statement; universal, mutual or reciprocal in coverage; big, deep, great, immense, enormous or immeasurable by intensity; genuine, sincere or affected by external manifestation; cold or hot by physical sensations; admiring, reverent, superstitious, naive or squeamish by emotional distress; philistine, servile or obsequious by the criterion of moral evaluation. As a feeling of admiring someone or something considered important, valuable, good, uvazheniye ‘respect’ is related, in its most manifestations, to many different concepts like authority, power, army, reputation, reverence, distinction, privilege, honor, homage, esteem, veneration, fame, dignity, love, talent, memory, humility, obedience, humility, fear, etc. that refer to some typical respect-situations in which they occur.
