Two documents are published related to the history of the establishment of the secret military police in the Caucasus in the early 1830s. The project "Obrazovaniye sekretnoy voennoy politzii na Kavkaze" was prepared under the direction of the Commander in Chief in Georgia count Ivan Paskevich and approved by Nicholas I on July 7, 1831. The secret order (instruction) of the Commander in Chief in Georgia baron Grigory Rosen, to the Transcaucasian Military Police Chief Major I.A. Kazassi dated January 31, 1833. Documents are stored in the State Archive of the Russian Federation.
