According to the statistics of the Judicial Department of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, in 2018, 56 persons were convicted under Article 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Illegal turnover of payment funds". It is difficult to judge the indicators at the regional level, since they could not be found in the public domain.

In view of the changes of 2015, the scope of the act prohibited by the specified norm was expanded in terms of the subject of encroachment and the list of actions that form its objective side. These innovations have not received an unambiguous assessment in criminal law science, however, the analysis of the relevant works allows us to conclude that the prevailing critical approach of the scientific community to these novelties. At the same time, as a rule, attention is drawn to the lack of certainty of the subject of the act in question.
