The chapter considers the specific character of teaching foreign languages to trainee translators and the need to see it as professionally oriented foreign language teaching. The chapter also identifies and describes the aspects of language teaching that require modifications. A conclusion is made that the above-mentioned changes will improve the effectiveness of teaching foreign languages to trainee translators in terms of ensuring its professional orientation.
