This collective work includes results of researches presented in the frames of XL Central Asian and Caucasian Conference named after L.Lavrov in 2016. Authors participated in this collection of articles describe different aspects of traditional and modern ethnography of Central Asian and the Caucasus with particuar attention to worldvision grounds of traditional societies, issues of ethnic conscience and its transformation, ethnocultural and ethnopolitic aspects in traditional and modern societies.
