It allows to track change of a role of a metaphor as means of abstraction of a high level in a modern economic discourse. Complication and acceleration of life in general, obviously forces mental processes of a human being to search for protective mechanisms for more ranged reception and processing of the incoming information. The metaphor becomes one of the main means of formation of new terms and concepts of economic vocabulary in English. Joint researches of linguistics and social philosophy show changes not only as a part of cases of special lexicon, but also in the stylistics of language in general. Obviously, it is promoted by availability of various types of information via the Internet in a very short period of time, without any special efforts. According to many researchers it increases a distance between professional and common lexicon and significantly influences aspiration of common lexicon to “simplicity” of a statement, which is replenished by metaphors and abbreviations. Expansion of a terminology database by means of metaphors demands full understanding of processes of formation of such terms by experts in the fields of economics and finance and also translators, otherwise the understanding of many processes of term formation may become a challenge.
