At the heart of this work, there is the publication of the fragment of the second chapter of the remarkable monument of the Arabic-Christian writing of the 11th century—"The Book of Sessions" (Kitab al-Maǧālis) by Iliyya of Nisibis—a literary reworked record of his debates with a Muslim interlocutor, vizier Abū l-Qāsim al-Maghribī. This fragment containing the Christological discussion about the God’s indwelling, was removed from the text of the maǧlis published in 1922 by Louis Cheikho. The present publication aims at filling the gap and finding out the likely motives for such a withdrawal.
