Scientists Create Open Dataset for Studying Concentration
A team of Russian researchers, including scientists from HSE University–St Petersburg, has developed the first open multimodal dataset containing recordings of brain activity, heart function, and video observations to help researchers understand what happens in the human brain during deep concentration. In the future, the dataset could accelerate the development of neural interfaces, rehabilitation technologies, and AI systems. The article has been published in Scientific Data.

Approaches to development of a mediacontent delivery network based on the infrastructure of existing IaaS providers

P. 139–143.
Korolev D., Gorokhova-Alekseyeva A.

Video broadcasts on the Internet in recent years have become commonplace and increasingly find their audience, supported by popular video services and social networks. But there are tasks, that require content delivery network (CDN), which lead to extra expences, and moreover, does not give sufficient flexibility and limits personalization of the broadcasts. This paper presents the principles of creating a flexible dynamic scalable media-content delivery network, created automatically for each individual broadcast, using the existing infrastructure of cloud virtual machines hosting service providers.

The report originates from a commercial project dedicated to creation of media-content delivery network, currently being at the development stage.

QoS-aware Streaming With HCCA TXOP Negotiation in Overlapped Wi-Fi Networks
Kiryanov A., Khorov E., Lyakhov A., , in: Proc. of IFIP Wireless Days.: IEEE, 2016. P. 1–3.
To avoid collisions in Wi-Fi networks, access points (APs) - acting as coordinators - got the ability to use centralized contention-free channel access, e.g. HCCA, which supports parameterized QoS. However, the growth of WLANs population raises a problem of coordination between APs. As a solution to this problem, IEEE 802.11aa introduces the HCCA TXOP Negotiation ...
