Scientists Create Open Dataset for Studying Concentration
A team of Russian researchers, including scientists from HSE University–St Petersburg, has developed the first open multimodal dataset containing recordings of brain activity, heart function, and video observations to help researchers understand what happens in the human brain during deep concentration. In the future, the dataset could accelerate the development of neural interfaces, rehabilitation technologies, and AI systems. The article has been published in Scientific Data.

Психологические проблемы смысла жизни и акме: Электронный сборник материалов XXI симпозиума

The digest contains materials of the XXI International Symposium held in FGBNU "Psychological Institute RAO" in 2016. Results of the research work on the topic of the meaning of life and acme are summarized and new research perspectives are outlined. General psychological, social psychological, cultural, professional, social rehabilitation and developmental aspects of meaning of life and acme and also the problems of modern education are discussed in the digest. The authors are teachers from higher and secondary educational institutions and researchers from scientific centers of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The last section of the digest reflects the reports, messages and speeches of the participants of the youth section, organized within the framework of the symposium for the fifth time. The digest will be interesting for philosophers, psychologists, teachers and a wider audience.
