‘Science Is Universal-It Knows No Borders
Fuad Aleskerov, Tenured Professor and Director of the International Centre of Decision Choice and Analysis at HSE University, together with his colleagues, has developed methods of network analysis in bibliometrics that have made it possible to identify patterns in the appearance and citation of publications in academic journals, as well as their influence on each other. When one or a number of studies are frequently cited by a wide range of journals, this is an indicator that the research is of high quality. By contrast, extensive cross-citation within a limited group of journals increases the likelihood of identifying a network of predatory publications.

The Research of Memristor-based Neural Network Components Operation Accuracy in Control and Communication Systems

.
Galushkin A. I., Danilin S. N., Shchanikov S. A.

This research is aimed to create a general approach
to developing methods and algorithms designed for defining and
providing memristor-based artificial neural network (ANNM)
components operation accuracy in control and communication
systems. Here we list factors which affect the operation accuracy
of memristors usied as the synapses in the ANNM. We have
created Simscape models of memristor neurons and ANNM for
investigating the influence of these factors on the ANNM
accuracy. This article presents the results of the initial phase of
our research.

Outliers in statistical data, which are the result of erroneously collected information, are often an obstacle to the successful application of machine learning methods in many subject areas. The presence of outliers in training data sets reduces the accuracy of machine learning models, and in some cases, makes the application of these methods impossible. Currently ...

Content policy and access limitations on commercial neural networks as an incentive to artivism
Milovidov S., Artnodes 2024 No. 33 P. 1–9
This article employs a case‐study method to investigate the artivism neural network community concentrated on Twitter (since renamed X), which has been ideologically influenced by the content policy and limitations of OpenAI. Today, many young artists using machine learning technologies in their artworks (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Kandinsky) note that despite significant progress in the field ...

Fuzzy Sampled-Data Stabilization of Hidden Oscillations in a Memristor-Based Dynamical System
Bhagyaraj T., S. Sabarathinam, Viktor Popov et al., International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos in Applied Sciences and Engineering 2023 Vol. 33 No. 11 Article 2350130
In the manuscript, we report the dynamics of the Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy memristor-based hidden system via sampled-data control. For an open-loop formulation, the system dynamics are studied. We found extreme events, hidden attractors, and trivial period doubling scenarios and confirmed them through numerical, analytical, statistical and experimental analyses. Furthermore, to enable stability analysis and control ...

Dynamics analysis and fractional-order nonlinearity system via memristor-based Chua oscillator
S Sabarathinam, Viktor Papov, Wang Z. et al., Pramana - Journal of Physics 2023 Vol. 97 No. 3 Article 107
This article discusses the utilisation of a Chua oscillator with a memristor to produce chaos with minimal nonlinearity. The memristor, a device that changes its flux or charges over time, has its nonlinear strength altered fractionally to determine the lowest-order memristor nonlinearity for generating chaos. An experimental analog circuit in real-time has been constructed. A ...

The problem of neural network vulnerability has been the subject of scientific research and experiments for several years. Adversarial attacks are one of the ways to “trick” a neural network, to force it to make incorrect classification decisions. The very possibility of adversarial attack lies in the peculiarities of machine learning of neural networks. The ...

Resonant activation of resistive switching in ZrO2(Y) films
Ryabova M. A., Filatov D. O., Koryazhkina M. N. et al., , in: Journal of Physics: Conference Series, Vol. 1851Vol. 1851. Issue 1.: IOP Publishing, 2021. Ch. 012003 P. 1–6.
Local resistive switching (RS) in ZrO2(Y) films on conductive substrates has been studied using Conductive Atomic Force Microscopy (CAFM). Switching was performed by triangle voltage pulses with superimposed a high-frequency (HF) sinusoidal signal applied to the contact of the CAFM probe to the ZrO2(Y) film (together constituting a nanometer-sized virtual memristor). Earlier, the enhancement of ...

Shot noise in next-generation neural mass models for finite-size networks
Vladimir V. Klinshov, Kirillov S., Physical Review E - Statistical, Nonlinear, and Soft Matter Physics 2022 Vol. 106 No. 6 Article L062302
Neural mass models is a general name for various models describing the collective dynamics of large neural populations in terms of averaged macroscopic variables. Recently, the so-called next-generation neural mass models have attracted a lot of attention due to their ability to account for the degree of synchrony. Being exact in the limit of infinitely large number of ...

Rate chaos is a collective state of a neural network characterized by slow irregular fluctuations of firing rates of individual neurons. We study a sparsely connected network of spiking neuronswhich demonstrates three different scenarios for the emergence of rate chaos, based either on increasing the synaptic strength, increasing the synaptic integration time, or clustering of the excitatory synaptic connections. ...

We propose a stochastic model of a voltage controlled bipolar memristive system, which includes the properties of widely used dynamic SPICE models and takes into account the fluctuations inherent in memristors.
