Ancient Chinese thinker Mo-Zi is often referred to as one of the first authors who developed the ideas of pacifism. But was Mo-Zi actually a pacifist? Mo-Zi treated war as violation of the logic of morality, because it loses the distinction between just and unjust, which is usually easily done in civilian life. The article clarifies Mo-Zi's philosophical doctrine of war, after which it maps to the theory of just war.
