The paper is devoted to the most complete manuscript of Verkhotursky district (uezd) census book (dozornaya kniga), 1621. A new part of this manuscript was discovered by the author. The census book is the earliest one describing Verkhotursky district. It’s peculiarity is a close description not only arable land and hayfields but also property documents and bargaining. There were also demonstrated the possibilities of analysis this census book together with Mikhail Tyukhin census book (1624) and other documents for prosopographical research.
