The article deals with the problem of universities brand equity growth. The authors highlight the networking aspects of university brand development and provide the theoretical footing for the modern processes of universities strategic partnerships development. Consequently, an in-depth research of Russian university-based strategic partnerships development is conducted in order to verify its impact on the university-brand development. Finally the key directions of further investigations on the field of university-based strategic partnerships are represented within the branding approach.
