In this paper the authors examine the theoretical background of formation of personalized strategies in electronic educational environment. It is assumed that personal study pathway is a conscious “design” of the student competence profile. The article designates parameters, which later will form the basis for constructing model of personal study pathway. Therefore the paper consists of several sections that propose (1) general topics of the approach; (2) the principles and the general model for supporting of mapping of the personal study pathway in electronic educational environment; (3) report on approach application in progress
