Правовой статус башкир в Полном собрании законов Российской империи: между традиционным правом и имперским законом
The paper is an analysis of the Russian imperial policy towards Bashkirs in the 18th century on a base of the Complete Collection of Laws of the Russian Empire. Authors attempt to clarify the correlation in the studied legal monuments of regulations of the Russian imperial legislation and rules of traditional Bashkir law which were taken into account by Russian legislators and authorities during the construction of legal relations with their Bashkir subjects. Authors find that the 18th century was a period when Russian legislation for Bashkirs had an objective to adapt them into the imperial political and legal space with saving to a considerable degree of their traditional nomadic institutions of power and legal regulation. At the same time Russian authorities used wide range of measures to accustom Bashkirs to Russian legal valuables including stimulation as well as coercive actions.
